Deb Esola

Born in a gym…

 

Debra has had a long history of sports and physical fitness. Starting in Middle School, she played soccer and softball on the boy’s teams. In high school she played basketball and on an AAU team in the Bronx, she was also a volunteer coach for her school’s JV team.

 

Growing up in Manhattan during the running boom of the 70’s and 80’s had the advantage of being able to run some of the most well known road races in the Northeast.

Recruited to play basketball to SUNY Albany, Debra played for 2 years and then rowed Crew for the Universities inaugural team. During college, she also ran a recreational program for the NY State Department of Youth.

Always active, at the age of 40 she learned to surf At 47 she began boxing lessons and went on to train with some of Monmouth Counties best instructors.
 

Certified as a personal trainer for the last 12 years, Debra is experienced with clients of all abilities. She provides one on one training, semi-private and small group sessions. She is also certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist. 

Whether you have never exercised before and are intimidated, haven’t exercised for years or decades, just need help with accountability or have been training and need help to get to the next level Debra provides safe achievable programs that bring results.

Esola Strength and Fitness is a boutique fitness facility for one-on-one or small group training, specializing in functional strength training, corrective exercise programming, basic boxing, athletic conditioning for teens/tweens, fitness, and nutritional/health coaching.

 

With over 50 years of combined experience, our coaches have the knowledge to help you achieve your fitness goals. Whether it is weight loss, muscle growth, athletic performance, building strength, learning to box, or being able to move better during daily life activities, we can help!

FLEXIBILITY AND MOBILITY

Focused on improving stability, increasing range of joint motion and balance. A great place to start if you are new to exercise, or a great complement to a strength training program.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

Addresses movement compensations and imbalances. Working collaboratively with your physical therapist or as the intermediary step between PT graduation and full participation in a strenuous workout program. We also help with accountability with at-home PT prescribed exercises.

TRADITIONAL STRENGTH TRAINING

Increase muscle mass, bone density, joint flexibility, balance and burn more calories as you develop strength. Become confident to venture out on your own as you learn proper techniques for the major lifts and knowledge that will help you make your way around a gym.

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH TRAINING

Functional strength training emphasizes multi-joint movements that help you become stronger and better equipped to handle daily life movements.

BOXING

Learn proper boxing techniques and get a full-body workout. Build muscle, burn calories, and combat stress. Work all your body's energy systems in a safe and controlled environment.

WEIGHT LOSS/NUTRITIONAL COACHING

An individualized program combining cardio, strength, High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and diet recommendations to help you reach your goals.
